Some other boutique mice might theoretically be superior in certain aspects, but you can get an MX518 for $40, and there is really no damn reason to run out and spend two or three times that much for precision you're not even going to notice and a couple extra doohickeys.

The 518 is simple, light, cheap, sturdy, and has everything anyone in their right mind would need.

Heh, Logitech should be paying me.

The 518 has two thumb buttons. It loses. I don't use my desktop mouse for the Internet, and two thumb buttons causes issues in games, were I use my thumb button on the G5 for +lastinv
