Just watched that, it's streaming on Netflix for those of you who have indulged in such extravagance. Anyway it's... It's... a show?
It's fucked up.
It's the love child of scinamax (yes, full frontal nudity and multiple sex scenes of no sex), 300 if you took away it's $300,000,000 budget and Gladiator. It is all of those things in an hour. So if you want a healthy(?) dose of titties with 300 style slow mo blood splatter at the same time followed by a very similar to Gladiator story line, this is the tv show you've been waiting for.
It's filmed in 300 style, I say that with some trepidation because it's not on par with 300 in the artistic department. Some shots are just stupid looking, especially this cheesy 'I'll miss you' scene in the beginning. They try to show it's fall, so there's dead leaves fucking everywhere, but there's only one tree and they're on a hill, lol. Fortunately it improved a lot from there. The blood splatter slow mo stuff was a bit off the top, especially when they took people's tops off. Did I mention it's very graphic? People being run through with swords, there's a gruesome neck slash scene too.
So yeah, if you're into naked hot chicks not actually having sex, blood everywhere, dudes with no clothes on in the dead of winter on a hill (more 300 style) with the story of Gladiator for good measure, this is totally the show you need to watch.
