Dan - the "B" is a helicopter from Vietnam, and the "L" is a red dude from Halo. Can anyone else not make any sense out of it either?

Hey, homeslice. I really like your most recent attempt at the title. I think that's the best so far (and not because I inspired it)...

BUT

I think you should use a picture of the MC from Halo 2 (the one I included in my suggestion). It shows MC using dual weapons, and it looks totally SICK.

Mixed feelings... That looks good.

But, I still think, if you could manage, that the dual weapons MC would be better... There's got to be a way to organize that one.

Also, it kinda looks strange having MC in the middle, then the rest of the pack off to the right...

If you have characters on each side of the "B.L.E." and you keep them snug against the letters, it should fit nicely, and look smooth as well.

It'd be nice if you guys could make the 'BLE' part of the logo into some design that was more transferable to other stuff...ie fan grills, tshirts, stickers etc... ;) Just an idea/hint as to what we're hoping for. ;)

What we figured is we take the group on the left and make the ble a smaller font with the other text just slightly smaller underneath it and it would make fine stickers, tshirts, and letterheads. Fan grills could be hard no matter what. I think simply having BLE in a good font with a crosshairs around it would be the best. just my thoughting.

For example you guys have some great ideas with the logo so far that includes the words, "Bellingham LAN Experiment" or "BellinghamLAN.com" but what I'm trying to say is that also in the logo try and have a different theme for the letters, "BLE" that also fits in with the logo...the pics in the letters looks good and stuff, but that won't transfer well to other parafanalia - which is ok, but I am sorta looking for something to put on stuff like I mentioned. It'd just be handy if it went well with the new logo...

The picture that is in this post (I believe it's on the 4th page of the thread). Remove the BLE as you have it...find some cool way to say BLE (kinda like your crosshair idea but better looking) and include that instead.

Ok, here's my example

The part with the tags...there goes your HALO guys, and your UT guys, and your RvS guys doing there thing. My lame crosshairs is what I'm talking about. It doesn't have to be a crosshairs, just something that is a little more creative with the letters BLE so that if/when I go to make tshirts or stickers or fan grills or whatever then I can use just that and people will know what it's from instead of using the whole logo (which is a massive cost).

But let me explain too...IT DOESN'T HAVE TO SUIT MY TASTES. :p It's just what I would like to see but the new logo is going to be up to you guys to vote on so you enter what you want to enter in the contest. :) I'm just giving you my feedback is all...pretend it's not from me the admin but me as a spectator. :)

As for your crosshair idea, I don't really think it'll look very good, but I will post up an idea and you can tell me what you think of it.

doesn't have to be a crosshair...in fact I would prefer it wasn't cause that is way overdone in LANs. :D But be creative...ie find another way to show BLE instead of the way it's always been...just the three lettes B, L, and E. Incorporate them somehow into something (like a cross hair but not a crosshair - make something, be creative).

As far as using bellinghamlan.com as the logo...I was mostly saying that Dan's logo with that looked really good and might work so maybe to explore more ideas with it...

but again, it's your logo submission, not mine. :) If I could make one...well then I would. :) But I am teh photoshop noob. and all other art related things noob...plus I am too poor to buy it. ;) :p

I don't know Enduhr, I really am fresh out of ideas. I don't think a crosshair will work, and who wants one anyway? Also I don't think that we should be using the same logo on the site as well as on things like shirts and fan grills. I think we should keep those simple, and keep the site looking cooler. After all, the people should be enticed by the site to by the shirt, not the other way around. Therefore, I think that the site should have a nice big flashy logo and the shirts be simple yet stylishly cool. Anyway, that is just my opinion. :D

dude, the current pic of MC is rulexor. We could use that one, but the whole idea is the Master Chief is STANDING (not running) behind the letters in a bad ass position with a smoking gun. Plus, he is looking directly at the viewer it seems like, and that is just plain cool. I am very happy with the current way we have it set up. If you want to do a rough sketch of a new logo that you would like me to incorporate MC into, I would be happy to make one for you. But, I think that as far as that last logo is concerned, I am done with it.
