BLE is creating a clan for all BLErs to perticipate (good or bad). So with the blessing of Ender (and hopefully Dave + M4L :D ). Clan BGO will be born.
BGO's purpose will be to:
1) build comrodery through the smashing of other clans :grumpy:
b) allow BLErs to compete together in leagues
3) help immprove on BLErs skillz (like we really need to improve on that, ha!)
4) to have good times. :D
5) to build a sence of BLE pride
f) to get to know your fellow BLErs better
games will include: anygame you can think of that enough people will perticipate in.
if you'd like to join clan [BGO], drop a line in this forum or PM me/ender/dave/M4L.

before there was BLE, the was the BGO. Serving food, taking care of customers, and helping to support the creation of BellinghamLan.
Thankfully, we can thank them, by doing subliminable advertising for them in the formation of a BLE clan: [BGO], Bellingham computer Games Organization. I know, its really original, and you all are absolutly thrilled about joining. but you wonder: is this going to take up alot of my time? is this going to be some really strict clan so i won't be able to be in 2 clans at once? am i going to be tied down to things i don't want to be?
and the short answer for all of these questions, is no. Unless you want to win, of corse.
Preaty much the entire point of BGO is to get the BLE community into the WWW world of competitive leagues; for us BLErs to unite in force inbetween LANs and build a sence of commrodery. To have a good time playing the games we enjoy so much, And just for friends to be able to compete together.
Games that are currently being considered:
CS
UT2k4
CoD
RvS
BF:[anymod]
right now we're looking to join a summer league and be able to get into full swing this coming fall/winter season. if you'd like to join, or have another game that you'd for everyone to consider, just drop a post in here, mentioning the game you'd like to participate in.
As soon as all the dust has settled, rosters will be created, and we'll set up team captins, scrims, and matches for each game.
The CSers: Fear, Deezee, Infinity, need not post.
BTW, just as a side note, going down to New Mexico this weekend, so you'll have to wait untill sunday afternoon/monday to get in touch with me, but still post away
and xboxers this includes you TOO!!!

I'm already in a UT2k4 clan, but if we were to play something that {pdX} doesn't play (like Capture The Flag) it'd be coo'. About the only other online games I play are command and conquer, and RtCW which is pretty dead now.
Ender, you have any game suggestions for a twitch fan like myself that I could play with you guys? :)

I'm thinking if we got a BF: Vietnam division going I'd play in it...my clan has a few people that play it but I don't think it'll ever go anywhere competitively unless everyone suddenly has a love affair with it (which I guess is possible - just not something I see happening soon).
Yeah Pine...BF: V may work for yas. It's pretty cool, somewhat fast paced. Once you get used to the feel and gameplay it's pretty fun. Especially the team aspect of it. It's fun to have to work together to make it work.
If you can handle slow, realistic tactical shooters then I'd say pick up RvS. It's built on the Unreal Engine (2k3's) so you'll feel somewhat familiar, only slowed to a crawl compared to 2k3. But it's a totally cool game and I play it quite a bit. But I think LL is going to pick up RvS competitively so I'd prolly play there.
btw, you get my latest email???

I'm of course interested in the UT clan.... I'm working on my skills almost every night now. And while I may not be able to keep up with Disco and Ender in DM, I am able to hold my own very well in Onslaught.

CoD would be great... I'm looking for perhaps focusing on only one or two games at a time...if anybody around is "good" at CoD, lemme know and I'll see if you can hold your own :kneel: , I want to form a local CoD team.

There will always be things to work out such as practice times, if i cant attend them all, etc but I have been interested in joining a clan lately and why not join it with people I know already?
I will most likely be signing up for RvS
But..... My birthday is in 3 days so illl be getting at LEAST 2 new pc games which will be either Farcry, BF:V , or UT 2004. And as i play more and more of those games, chances are that I will like one of them more than rvs judgeing on how many more people play them than rvs.
Bottom line for me: I am definately interested in joining the BGO, but am not TOTALLY sure what game im going to sign up for.

FeaR just go get it...I know you can...just spend $40 less of prom...think about it: Prom = one night of fun and memories. UT2k4 = Endless nights of fun and memories. :D
For 2k4, I say we go with a ddom team. :) That ladder needs teams, and there's some cool peeps on the teams that are there. It's a simple enough mod with some cool little tricks and stuff to learn, but still cool. It's tdm with control points. So far the possible list:
Ender
Pineconeboy
M4L
FeaR????
Anyone else here that plays: DiscoDave, Maddeh, etc etc
We could have a pretty fun team there. Whaddya'll say? Anyone else that wanted to would be welcome as well, and we could move the server to ddom so that when we got on and played we could practice and stuff.

Ahh, I am pretty loyal to Team Revenant (Rev.) regarding RvS. However, I would consider a BF:V clan. Possibly even UT2k4, but right now I don't really play that much.
If you want a good place to get challenged and stuff, try http://www.teamwarfare.com That is where my clan runs.
BTW, if you guys see me online, I will be either Rev.Homeslice or Creep if I don't wanna play with my clan :D

Help me here, I am NOOBISH when it comes to UT2004. What is ddom? And even though I don't know what it is, I would love to become a liability for anyone's team. Pick ME!

good luck, it'll be hard trying to start comptetition for all those games, I suggest you move around focusing on one game at a time.

the idea isn't to enter the scene and kick ass. It's to get us playing together on more than just a LAN or once in awhile setting. All those games have leet teams, but they're usually at the top of the ladders. We have to play and learn together...BLE plays so many games it's not hard to get the bare minimum for each of those games.
Besides...if Homeslice was the WORST his team had to offer, I'd say we'd handle them pretty easily. ;) :p Or at least...I could, by myself even.

It won't work, trust me. You MUST have a valid CD-key to play 2k4 online, at least on real servers.... cracked games sometimes have their own servers but I guarantee there won't be many. Oh, and chances are pretty decent that 'crack' you got is also a trojan, or JUST a trojan. :p

You haven't been to Gamecopyworld before I take it... Yes it works just fine and there are thousands of servers to choose from.
And no, it's not a fucking trojan, gawd. As a matter of fact, it's not even an executeable file.

So let me get this straight. You've been playing online with a downloaded copy of UT2004, and it works?
Now I always allow for the possibility that I'm wrong in any argument, but everything I know about UT2004 says that you need a valid CD key in order to play it online. Period. So either I'm wrong, or you somehow have a valid CD key. I'd be interested in knowing which it is. :) Maybe you're just using a copy of your friend's UT2004? In which case you'd better be careful not to be playing online at the same time as him, or you could get his CD key banned... thus rendering the $40 he spent on the game worthless.
eh, and I HAVE been to gamecopyworld before.

that's going to be the kicker there ghrog...PG doesn't have a RvS ladder to start...and I'm already on there (as well as pineconeboy) for 2k4 (meaning if LL joined the same Ladder both my teams could be in trouble).
Look into OGL www.worldogl.com I think is the web addy...it's a pretty big site and should have a ladder for all the games. :rup:
Ender
04-13-2004, 10:17 PM
Well shat...ogl has everything EXCEPT 2k4 ddom. :( But they have oogles of CS ladders to choose from, RvS 4v4, BF V, and EVERY OTHER MOD for 2k4 EXCEPT DDOM. bastards! Well, we could do ctf there, but that's a bit of a shark tank...though might be less of one than say tdm or ons. They have an assault ladder but there's a whopping one team on there...don't think it'd be worthwhile.
What do you other 2k4 players say? Try ctf? Onslaught? I'd rather go for ctf but we'd need to work on it a bit to be sure...

Hey ghrog...let's call it BGC - The Bellingham Gaming Clan. There's another group in town (haven't been active in a while that I've heard or seen) that goes by the name of BGONET (the bgo stands for bham gaming org) and then there's the whole Bellingham Grocery Outlet (BGO) one of our sponsors...unless of course you meant to do that. ;) I think I like the sound of bgc a tad better though, also includes 'clan' in it making it a tad more obvious what it's about. ;)

Cause BLE is a LAN party...not a clan. ;) It is just coincidence that this clan all met and got together and practices at BLE. :)

Avoid the word "Clan" or variations of it...
94% of the Clans out there use the word "Clan" in their title...

UT1? Or UT2k4?
Either way, I'll take that challenge. :hump:
CTF is fun, but it's hard. We'd have to play a lot of really good clans and probably get our asses kicked all over the place. IMHO, onslaught would be the best, but that's problematic because pdX plays ONS and I bet LL does too.
