I used to play that mmorpg 'dark age of camelot', then I decided it was taking too much of my time. Then I sold my accounts on ebay for a total of $475. Then I ordered a radeon 9600XT 256mb, amd athlonXP 2800+, abit motherboard, and a shiny new case. With my glowy fan I won last LAN in the window slot, it looks kinda secksi :)

right on. btw did you get my pm? If not then check 'em. ;)

By MAY LAN I plan on having added 6 more fans to my case. :p Ok, not really, I will be adding a few more but I will be repositioning many of them which will require modding the case a bit - ie cutting 3 holes in the window and 3 in the top for the fans to be moved to. :D
I also plan on putting in a few cathodes just for kicks. :)

They need to make a case with a white interior so blacklights would look better.

for a car I was thinking white leather interior with blacklights along the edges of the inside roof so it would glow at night

Hey Ender.... I've got a fan I'll bring on Saturday that you might like.... It's pretty big! I used it on my amp rack, but have no need for it now. I'll clean it up a bit so it looks nice.

I need to cut a hole in the top of my case and stick a fan in there... im scared, if i screw up i have no second chances with unforgiving aluminum =\

M4L how big is it? I'm looking for a 120 mm. 8)

This is what it is: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=273-238

Now cut the square frame on one side so that it's a cylinder with the mounting brackets on one side only. I had to make it fit into the whole I cut. I'll clean it up with a belt sander and I'll repaint it so it looks purdy.

Oh, and I just realized... because of which side I cut.... it can only be an intake fan, unless you don't mind mounting it to the outside(ugly).

Hot air rises, so an intake would probably make the temps in your computer higher!

Umm... what you said has absolutely no relation to a computer case and fans... Compression creates heat. So if you were forcing air into a closed computer case you would increase heat. But in most computer cases you have an exhaust fan, so you aren't compressing the air, just moving it. So an intake fan is actually a good thing.

Well planned airflow paths > as many fans as you can fit on your case.

When I get my computer builtz0rd it will have an ingenious airflow path (I might even supermod a big ass barrel fan from a microwave into it)

it will look like this:

ummm... now go back and plan an airflow diagram for a case with things like drive bays, PCI/agp cards, bigass processor heatsink/fan, etc. However, for an empty box that is a kickass plan :)

SuperDude

just stick that there microwave fan thinggy on the top and have it suck like theres no tomarrow. WIND TUNNEL.

rofl, the microwave fan has a tube thing, thats whats on the left of the top of that diagram, plus, i forgot to add the one on the backside.

the microwave fan will be sucking from the top :)
