I'm looking forward to Saturday, and I hope you are too! Out of all the new games lately, there was a few I didn't get to play nearly as much as I would have liked, so shazam!
It's also looking like, despite my best efforts, our next official lan won't be until early February. I was hoping something would open up for us in January, but it just never did. Whatever the case, the next lan will be a Birthday LAN. Now, it's true, the actual "birthday" is closer to November than February, but I wanted to try and start a string of monthly lans with a big one to celebrate.
What will make this lan so special? Marketing 101: Never talk up version 2.0 before you've released 1.0. ;)
Suffice to say, I think you're going to enjoy what I've got lined up for you.
On a somewhat less pleasant note, when you leave after the lans please try to pick up around your area. There was a lot of trash left behind, and the hotel wasn't happy about the amount of time they spent cleaning up.
It's not that difficult, really...just make sure that anything that can't be vacuumed is picked up and tossed. I've got enough to do after each event packing things up, and I'd much rather everyone spends 5 minutes cleaning up after yourselves than my having to spend 100 minutes cleaning up after everyone.
Not asking you to scrub floors or anything, just pick up wrappers, stray chips, random fruit snacks...anything in your own general area that can't be vacuumed.
Thanks a bunch, and I look forward to seeing ya'll on Saturday.
Oh, btw, make sure to scan your systems for viruses and such. :rup:
