As has previously been announced, the fine people of BLE have determined that Doom will be the greatest movie released in 2005. In fact, there's currently a betting pool in regards to exactly how many academy awards it will win. I call 7, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor.
Anyway, as we're so very excited about this gem of a film, of course we're terribly eager to witness it's genius first hand. Fortunately enough, the film is being released at my own personal favorite movie theater at Sunset Square. Ah yes, the planets are truly aligning for this experience of a lifetime.
So, on Saturday, we'll be catching the 4:15pm show to save a couple bucks per ticket. Now, as the Sunset Theater of course is world renowned for huge screens and luxurious seats, it has a tendancy to sell out quite often so my advice would be to get there no later than 3:45 to buy tickets, and earlier would probably be better. Then we can all grab some seats at around 4:00 so we can all enjoy everyone's favorite never-ending commercial, The Twenty.
That's right, what better to get us primed for cinematic glory that is Doom than The Twenty. Calm down, Warder, you know what happens when you get too excited about The Twenty.
So, to recap, meet up Saturday, 3:45 inside the lobby at the theater at Sunset Square, inside the theater at 4:00, enjoy gripping performances and witty dialogue until the end of the movie, and we can go somewhere for some grub afterwords.
If you plan on coming, throw a post in this thread just so we have an idea of how many seats we should be reserving.

i refuse to pre-order tickets for a movie i asume will be absolutely horrible. I'd rather show up in disgust of not being able to get a seat then giving them the privlage of knowing that they have at least one more paying customer for their retarded movie.

I'll definetly make a big move to be there. Gotta go keep a buddy company at his girls baby shower (while hitting on one of the guests :tup: ) Should work out tho.

I'm marking it down on my schedule too! Regardless of the fact that I do believe the acting will be undoubtedly terrible, everything else should be good. Hope to see you all there; I usually show up an hour early. I also hope I either recognize you guys, or you recognize me... Otherwise... That would be weird. LOL!

Warder will be the one screaming about how cool the Twenty is, Ghrog will be the one hating everything, I'll be the one bitching about how I'd rather be playing Hydro Thunder, PirateIvan will be the one stinking up the place, UB_Bomber will be sitting at the exact opposite side of the theater as Ivan, Itsmee will be the one all the chicas in the theater oogle over, Sky will be the one pointing out that it's Doom and there won't be any chicas there at all, Kashll will be the one that falls asleep and dreams of Quake4, and SuperDude is the one that "might" be there.

Turns out my car registration ran out last month. So, if I don't make it, you'll know that it's because I got pulled over. My dad's registering it while I'm gone, he's gonna come by and put the stickers on while I'm watching the movie.

It had:
* A decent story.
* Some kewl effects.
* Some good action.
* Even some good acting.
It didn't have:
* The Rock lifting his eye brow to some obscure thing.
* A great deal of worth.
It left me feeling:
* Disgusted and weirded out.
In my opinion: It's a total rental, to be watched in a dark room, on a big screen, in a quiet environment. (Similar to the game itself.)
