BLE is proud to bring you once again an Unreal Tournament 2004 online server!!

Mapvote is enabled, so all you have to do to change gametypes when the map is over is filter 'NEW' gametype and then change to the map of your choice! For quick reference, here are the abbreviations for gametypes: AS - Assault, BR - Bombing Run, DM - Deathmath, CTF - Capture the Flag, DB - Deathball, ONS - Onslaught.
RKT - Rocketeer which should be coming soon. :) The server is currently set to Deathball! w00t!

This server is only available after business hours! So don't try and play until after 5:00 pm PST or you won't be able to. In the rare case that it is somehow running at that time - don't play on it! You could make it so we lose the spot where it's being hosted!

In other adventures playing online there is a great program out there called Xfire. It's a program that allows you to see what games your friends are playing and join them directly! Go and download it at:

www.xfire.com

Then add all the BLE peeps to your friends list and join them anytime ingame! Here is the list of xfire names and who it is on the forums in parenthesis. If you get a new account, post it in here and I will add it to the list and then remove your post in order to keep it clean and organized and easy to follow in this thread.

For general online chat abuse get any flexible irc program (trillian etc). I currently use mIRC which can be downloaded at:

so yeah, this server is up now everyone...216.57.218.61 pw ble. Right now it's running ut2004 rocketeer.

I'd like to setup a schedule of games so that every night there will be something for you alls to jump on and play together.

Current games on the server: RB63:RvS, RB63:AS, UT2004, BF: V, BF: 1942 (including DC).

Any other games (except CS - we have a separate server for that, but the status in unknown) that you might want to see on there, find out if there is a dedicated server download for it and post the game and the dedicated server link in here and we'll see if we can get it on there.

As for the schedule, I was thinking something like the following:
Monday: Battlefield 1942 - Desert Combat
Tuesday: UT2004 - Team Deathmatch (mapvote is enabled I think so we could change it in game)
Wednesday: RB63:RvS Team survival
Thursday: Battlefield: Vietnam
Friday: RB63: AS Capture the Enemy
Saturday: UT2004 - DDOM, CTF etc
Sunday: UT2004 - Rocketeer, Deathball

This is NOT final and only a suggestion. Please post comments, ideas, and your suggestions. For example, don't post what is wrong with this schedule, but post your suggestion of a schedule.

It looks to me like the computer would be wasting CPU cycles by running RvS servers, because hardly anyone would play them. Same goes for BF:V and BF:DC... Unless we really get people playing.

My suggestion: Enable admin on the server for a couple BLE'ers that are on so we aren't tied to specific game modes. Heck, we could change the server for whatever demand there is. If a group wants to play RvS on a thursday, load it up!

I suppose my scheduel would be as follows:

Monday: Majority Vote
Tuesday: Majority Vote
You get the picture :p
Like, a group would want

With allowances being made of course for the minority once in a while: "Hey me and Jon want to play RvS and you've been hogging the server for UT all week! :mad:"

LOAD ER UP! :)

Also: having a new game every nite would be a burden to whoever has to manage it. They'd have to remember to get on remote admin every single day to change the game, and I would think that'd be a pain.

yeah...I'll get that sorted out - though I'd much rather get a fund going or something and pay the $10 for a real ventrilo server...they are so much better than hosting your own.

hopefully...I'm looking into a Vent server...you guys think you'd be willing to chip in and help pay for it? They're not very expensive so it wouldn't be much at all to keep it up...:erm:

IT's not much at all, and I'm going to do it out of my pocket as my own private server with BLE written on it and post it here for everyone to use. :)
