BLE July Announced

Just to re-emphasize, this event is $10 if you prepay, $15 at the door. It also starts at 11:00am on Saturday the 23rd, and there is no pizza dinner. I suspect the chances are pretty good there'll be a group that goes off to Shari's or Denny's or Red Robin or something together, so keep your ears open at the event.

I strongly suggest picking up BF2 for this event (see our friends at EB in the mall), as I suspect it'll be played so much I'll want to gouge my eyes out with a rusty chainsaw. Admittedly, I hit that threshold after about 15 minutes.

Also note that some of the BLE guys are getting together to see War of the Worlds on opening night, 7:00pm in Burlington. Be there or be gay! I also recommend getting your ticket via Fandango, and lets plan to meet at the theater at 6:30. Seeya then!

We'll definitely be having one in September, probably in the first half of the month so we can get another lan in the first half of November, and we'll probably take December off because that's a crazy time of year.

And then, January, I wanna try and get a normal, predictable monthly routine going. Of course, it's always easier said than done.

I wanted to, but I couldn't acquire the pink elephants required, so it'll be the next best thing.

As many of you know, BLE is synonymous with "world class competative tournaments". As this is going to be an ultimate tournament of skill, the first stage will be in registering on ALP and winning Gamer of the Hour for the hours of 5:00pm and 6:00pm. As this is such a true test of skill, any hacks or cheats (ie, multiple ALP accounts) will result in immediate disqualification and stoning.

Those of you who have shown the talent and determination to pass the first stage of the tournament will enter a 1v1 face off in a UT2k4 battle of epic proportions, the rules of which are assured to be of the same competative and well thought out quality you might expect to see from PDX.

And if you don't like the rules, then go make your own 1v1 tournament and make the rules you want if you care that much. (And good luck - you will need it!1!11!11!!)

Remember, at BLE, our motto is, "We may not be able to make everyone happy, but we sure as hell can make everyone unhappy!"

And just so you know how serious we take this, the winner of this tournament will win a 3,000 penny gift certificate at EB.

That's right. Because we're just so gosh darned hardcore like that.
