It sure seems to me that since November LAN, each lan has gotten better and better....I think March continues that trend.
Gobs of Battlefield, Ravenshield, UT2k4, and even Quake3 dominated the event, with plenty of other games going on as well...I think I even saw a Half-Life game being played! :scared:
On the console side of things, of course Halo was big, but there was also some highly competative Soul Calibur action, and even a fare dose of heated Mario Kart setup on our projector.
The Remote Controlled cars made a return in the contest specifically to spite Ghrog, and the BB gun challenge proved to be a fine staple of BLE that will likely continue to the glee of aim-whores everywhere.
Here's a quick diary of what my schedule turned out to be in this lan...
#1. Get my arse beat down in Call of Duty.
#2. Get my arse beat down in Desert Combat.
#3. Get my arse beat down in UT2k4.
#4. Get my arse beat down in Quake3 in the much heated and anticipated grudgematch between me and Dusk, upon which Dusk humiliated me and forced me to shout out for the world to hear..."space maps aren't gay!".
#5. Get my arse beat down in Instagib. Again. And again. And again. And again. And again.
#6. Get my arse beat down in Soul Calibur. Yes, I'm talking to you, Dr. Deezee.
#7. Get my arse beat down in general.
#8. Yup, more arse beating down.
#9. Break for pizza.
#10. Suffering from "arse-beat-down-itus".
As usual, expect pictures soon, but not from me, for I was too busy making Ender do everything.
Thanks again to all our sponsors for saving us from having to give away my toe lint! And, as usual, thanks to everyone who came out...we're really happy to see that BLE only continues to grow, and here's hoping that BLE April will be even bigger and better!
As usual, all feedback is always appreciated! If you've got any ideas on how to help us continue improving BLE, please, please, please, please speak up. We can't do this without you!
As a quick reminder, BLE has our own exclusive ftp and game servers that are running 24/7. Login and password information was distributed at the lan.
Running right now is Teamspeak, Ut2k4, Ut2k3, BF 1942, and BF Vietnam.
Also note that on Saturday the 10th of April we'll be having our BLE Gathering, where we'll be meeting up in Mount Vernon for some serious Go-Karting action. Price will be $20 each person, and that will be good for two 10 minute races.
Details are to follow, but be ready, and I'd suggest arranging for carpools now rather than later...you really aren't going to want to miss out on this! =D.
Once again, thanks to everyone except Ender, who's a lame aimbot and steals candy from babies.
