Hey. im bored so I just thought I would compare my computer specs with others. Post your specs here.


My computer:

P4 3.0 Ghz 800MCPU
1000 GB DDR RAM (i think)
CGA ATIOEM RADEON 9600 PRO 128M 8X grapics card
sound blstr audigy 2 ZS PCI RTL sound card

yeah thats all the important stuff. I got a computer with the clear side and the blue light inside and two cd drives (one fore burning) surround sound speakers , cordless kepboard , mouse, and thats about it.

BTW night if you have 256mbs of mem if you stick another 256mbs or so in your going to see a VERY nice preformance increase. I'm guessing thats a major bottleneck right now. Games are having to use your page file way to much.

pop in a radeon9500 or so and a sblive and for about $100 you have a nice gaming rig. What is that cpu? XP 1800 if memory serves me?

I'd like to save up my cash, actually, and use this until it becomes nearly obsolete and then but a top 'o the line custom PC.

And I'm pretty sure you're right about the processor, all my system information is showing is that it's an XP something or other. But I remember getting an 1800 when I bought it two years ago (for $300 no less!) so, uh, yeah.

yeah actually that was my mistake. I actually have 1000MB of ram. I dont know why i put 256.. (probably because thats what my old computer had)

Um... if you have an Athlon 2800+ your CPU speeds are going to be way over 1.24 Ghz my friend...

I've been reading and it says it should be running at 2.25GHz... but... this one test and "System" says 1.24GHz.. any ideas if there are problems or something?

yeah, go into your Bios and make sure the CPUs FSB is set to run at 166mhz not 133 :rup:

LOL it was set at 100mhz, and then I set it to 166mhz. Now my CPU is running at 2.05GHz, Thank You. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Indeed... I think that takes true skill.
