By popular request, and after much arguing and bashing, BLE is pround to announce BLE Poker Night!

We'll hopefully have an Xboox and Gamecube arround for those that get out early. Any suggestions on the format are more then welcome; Good Luck and Have Fun!

Warder will be helping me out with this, so also ask him if you have any questions (lol, I haven't even told him yet).

Sounds like a great idea but there a couple of problems with it. One if you charge anything and I mean ANYTHING you are technically breaking the law because there is no permit for it. Also you would have to card people and make sure they are of legal age to gamble or you'd be ROYALLY screwed. And third if you are going to go through with this you need to make sure that it's limit hold'em. And there should be a basic buy in price of like 10 dollars and we should play like with nickles and dimes and quarters could be the top and the limit of the raise should be like 75 cents or something. We need to establish rules very soon other wise bad things will happen.

First off. Charging people is for the rent of the building, just like LANs. Secondly, we don't need to have a permit for a "home" poker night. And besides, there is no "buy in." You show up, you get a certain amount of chips that we play with. I'm sure it will me pot limit hold-em, but otherwise, the only thing you are playing for is 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place, as they will be given a prize, just like at the 400 man lan (LPNW). The only problem is that the "House" is offering the prizes and taking the money so I can see a problem with that. And if we are only playing for prizes, what's the point? I mean you play Poker for money you don't play it for prizes, unless of course it's prize money. Count me out, now if someone wants to get together a real poker night with real money then you can probably count me in.

I need to do some practice online or something. The only experience I have with poker is: loosing all my money when I played as a kid, The movie Rounders, and watching some of the tournamets on TV lately.

I do alright at blackjack, but I loose money at poker real fast.
