I was wondering what the average age of the people attending your lan is. I was interested in coming but dont want to be the only guy in his 20s in a room full of 15 year olds.

[ wave white flag] before you start, I have nothing against younger players. but just ask yourself. Would you want to be the only 15 year old in a room full of 6 year old kids?[ /wave white flag];)

Also what are the policies on alcohol.

Also I dont have most of the games you have listed. If I was to go out and buy a couple, what ones would you recomend to maximize my gaming time?

Thanks guys.

I don't notice such details, but if my memory serves our last lan had a couple teens but the majority seems to clearly be in the early to mid 20s.

Alcohol isn't permitted. If you wanna have a beer and we don't notice it, obviously we aren't going to care, but we WILL notice if you're drunk, and we WILL ask you to leave.

Battlefield is going to be played the most, and it's going to be your best bet if you don't have it by now.

Behind that I'd suggest Ravenshield then UT2k3. I wouldn't be immediately concerned about the others for the time being. We'll make sure you aren't stuck twiddling your thumbs while everyone plays a game you haven't had a chance to purchase yet.

I hope to see you at the party...I'm really looking forward to this event!

Yeah like Disco said there are a few teens, but mostly adults are there. The teens that are there while they like to have fun are generally very mature. I think the youngest last lan party was 16, but he's in college right now if that says anything for his maturity level. There are only a few teens though.

If you don't like getting schooled by teens then you may not want to come because you'll end up doing a lot of this :kneel: :p

Anyway hope to see you there!

I don't mind being schooled by anyone. If I do its because I deserve it (or they are a cheating little bastard:mad: )

I was just looking at another lan in the area and the age group was so young they had rules about leaving and coming back after a certain time. I am to0 old to have someones mom tell me I cant go to AM-PM for a Red Bull at 1 AM.

I think I will sign up. Just bought Ravenshield and Battlefield today so I expect to learn a few things the hard way when I play there. I will be ordering UT 2003 online later today so I most likely will not have in time. But who knows. I might get lucky.

Any maps or mods I need to download for these 2 games besides the ones in the thread in the forums here? I got the latest patches already.

Does the registration cost cover food and pop?

I hope not. ;)

We'll also have a file server at this next lan that will have any patches or mods we'll need, but along with the patches I'd definitely suggest getting the Desert Combat mod all loaded up...it's a huge-arse download and takes quite a while to install, especially if you're surrounded by people having fun. =).

Yea, we'll have a ton of pop, some snacks, and we get a ton of pizza in the early evening.

Yeah, no worries about coming and going.

As far as age, there are a few guys here in the 30s even. ;)

Most of us are in our 20s and then there's a few in the late teens. All in all, a super fun crowd. :)

There's a bar right on Meridian right next to the building we're in if you feel like it, but like Dave said, just don't come all drunk and stuff. :) And don't bring the drinks in too. :D

There's a couple gas stations nearby too, and you could bring your own red bulls too. There will be plenty o' pop, and we've never run out of it either, which is a good sign. :) Pizza is covered, pop is covered, snacks during the day are provided as well, prizes are given, and great games are played...DAMN, what are we thinking Dave? We could be making a killing on this!!! ;) hehe...it's good times, and a lot of bang for your buck. :) Can't wait to see you there!
