Popup blocker program?

Until I find a way to shut off iexplorer, I need a popup block program, any free ones out there?

Non-browser type, I have Firefox, but i need a outside program to stop Iexplorer ones.

I don't wanna format, hence all the fighting and massive downloading of powerfull anti spyware programs.

to block popups, install the google toolbar. it does a good job.

I cry. I use Firefox as my browser. But somewhere on my machine, I have this file that keeps bringing up popups saying I have spyware go here to get something to fix it!! That is coming from the iexplorer that I don't even have open. So I need something to stop it, or erase it.

well i'd first look at your process list and i'm guessing there is a story here about this but run adaware and spybot S&D. There are many programs to stop popups including googles great toolbar, also things such as Norton Internet Security though that is a very costly way to do it and i doubt it would fix it just as i doubt the google toolbar will. I'd look at your process's. Either start/run/"cmd"/tasklist or ctrl+alt+del then go to the... god i don't remember what it's called the pane where you can view open programs. Anyway go to the process section and google the name of each process till you run across the badman process.
