So I have an 80 GB HDD. So I partition it a bit for ease of formatting mostly, since I seem to have to do that a lot. I have a 10 GB partition for windows, a 40 GB partition for games and programs, and a somewhat smaller than 30 GB partition for files (y'know since an 80 GB HDD isn't really 80 GB).
There's just one problem. For some reason, I thought my 25 GB partition was my programs partition, and my 40 GB partition my files partition. So now I don't have enough room to install the remainder of my games on the partition that all the rest are installed on.
I = teh suck. :selfbonk:
Do I remedy the situation and put things in their proper place? (IE frickin uninstall all those programs then reinstall the bastards).
Or do I just install the few games I have left on the Files partition and pretend their not there? (Because the unsightly programs on a partition full of files will be unaesthetically pleasing).

partition magic just allows you to drag the sizes around restart your pc, wait for about half a year and then reboot again and its done.

Format and try again.
I think I formatted twice within a week, and once every month for like 4 months. You can never format too many times.
I keep all my music, movies, files that I like to keep on a seperate drive, then install windows and games and programs on another. When my computer shows a sign of FUBAR I kill it ruthlessley.

erm well any repartitioning of the hard drive is going to have dangers. Its a question of do you want an annoying problem for a long time or do you want to take a chance by using partition magic or another program like it to resize your hd. Some people say nvidia cards always give them problems some say ati does. Its just chance.

Can you buy Partition Magic online somewheres? Or do I get it at a retail store? nm...that was kinda stupid...I'm sure I can buy it online. What I meant is can I buy it as a download, or is it a 'in box' only kinda thing.
