Um, just to let yall know, I have decided to share with you all the legacy of the Dirk.

It all started a long time ago, in a land to so very far away: The Kingdom of the Didley Dan. This is a strange smelly ugly dumb land and I discourage anyone from venturing forth hither. Anyhoo, the demo of Secret Weapons of WWII was being played upon by said ruler of Kingdom of Didley Dan and by yours truly. At one point in that large boring expanse of whiteness a man (actually maybe it was a female . . .) showed his cowardly face. This face, and the man, was named Dirk. I simply didn't like the look of his face and his face's name, so I TK'd him. Again, and again, and again, and again. Idiotically, he kept showing up at the same spawn point. So, I kept TKing him. Eventually, when I had murdered that dastardly coward around 30 times, I was kicked from the server. So I rejoined with a new name and preceded to TK again and again. I was kicked again. So I rejoined the server as Dirk, but with a space in front of my name. Then I continued to TK. Luckily enough, the other Dirk was kicked! I enjoyed that incident so much that I decided to name myself the Foe of Dirk. I since then have been searching far and wide for one single glimpse of my ignorant enemy, but I have yet to see him show his sillystupid face. Therefor, since I now see that all hope of seeing my nemesis is gone, I hereby change my name to HOMESLICE. The End. And stuff.

BTW, Far Cry went gold, scheduled to be in stores on the 25th...just baaaarely before our lan.

I hope the multiplay is as good as I...er...hope it will be. :erm:

Anyloo, I guess something must be wrong with me, but I didn't care for Far Cry that much. Yeah, the graphics were good, but I found it too easy and the gun models really needed work. I guess I am not much on the one man killing machine vigilante type games. I would rather go in calculated and tactical. Like raven shield . . . *heavy sigh* Oh how I miss it when I am at school! But FC was fun, I just don't think I would buy it. Atmosphere isn't quite right.

Errr...there's about 8,000 different ways to beat the single player map that shipped with the demo. You can either go in guns-a-blazing, or take the tactical approach.

But that's just the single player...I have no idea how good the multiplayer will be, as I haven't seen it, but I think it shows definite promise. I'll be pretty bummed if I can't find anyone to play this with at our lan =).

so close and yet so far, a Diskew? :p (ub knows what I mean).

To add to RoastBeefSlice's story-o-woe and resolve a few issues in it. First off Dirk did try to run sometimes. Jon always found creative ways to run him down with the motor cycle or crash a plane into him or something horrible. Dirk also appeared to be having a heart attack of some form as his player would sometimes run around in circles or run into a vehicle as if he wanted in but did not know the key to get in. It was a sad affair watching Dirk running in place against a vehicle then turn around with a dishartned look and get shot by Jon point blank. Poor man.
