I didn't play for very long, but I gotta say I was really sad it didn't carry the same flavor as the original. While it had lots of conspiracy just like the first one, it just felt bland because of poor voice acting. The charectors sounded like they didn't care what was happening really.

Its physics were great, the same engine that Max Payne 2 used. You can pick up a lot of objects and throwing stuff at people till they start chaising you was fun.

The levels were fairly good with interaction being very high. There were a TON of ways around almost all objectives which was a nice feeling, not being tied down.

Graphics wise it sucked. Probably has to do with the X-Box port, not sure though. Deffinatly sub par for todays games, which could be forgiven easily if the gameplay was good but as I told you it wasn't great, I'd leave it till its in the bargain bin to buy this one.

I bought this and X2 at the same time, and both were utter disappointments. I haven't played either enough to properly review (X2 is not a game, it's a chore), but suffice to say that I'm disappointed by what I've seen from Deus Ex considering that the first game was one of my top 5 games ever.

Yeah the original was amazing, with the 1 exception being the AI wasn't very smart, but it was still very very good!

I dont see anything wrong with deus ex. I enjoy nothing more than throwing couches and objects of the nature at unsuspecting people. then takin one of those lockpick thinggys and bustin into some dudes room and killin him with a book or a bag of cofee then throwing his limp body in the shower =)

I dont own the game, my friend got it and the only dislike i have for the game is the complexity of the plot, or the lack of customizable controls.
