What games do you want to see at the LAN?

Okay, heres a little list to see what games you want to see at the LAN, including mods.

Battlefield 1942
-Expirence WWII (try it out, its a really fun mod)
-Desert Combat
Battlefield Vietnam (This game is going to be my No 1 game)
-Battlefield Vietnam
-Maybe some PoE on my computer only
Call of Duty
Raven Sheild
-Custom Maps

Those are the games I want to see next lan.

anywho, it'd be cool to get 1~2 rounds of a classic game like DOOM or Duke Nukem, maybe some Rise of the Triad (now THATS a fun game not many have played). We had a little going at this lan, but only 4 of us played, and we played on the Doom2.Wad (where the maps are wae to big for < 4 ppl).

like always, some CS action would be great...

ahhh, Rise of the Triad! I loved that game! I used to play a lot of Rise of the Triad and Heretic. Ooo, that's another one that might be fun. How about an Old School Tourney? That would definately be interesting.

It's certainly a nice change of pace from both vanilla BF1942, WW2 realism mods, or DC. .1 was fun, but not surprisingly had a lot of bugs.

Battlefield Pirates is another fun one, though it definitely doesn't take itself as seriously as most mods. I was always guaranteed a laugh when playing that, since there's so many quirky things you can do.

As far as I know, nobody played it last lan. Not on Xbox OR PC. So you have nothing to worry about!

Yeah it hasn't been played to date at our LANs. It's cool if people want to play it every now and again. But like tivac said, it really ruins a LAN when that's all anyone wants to play. :shrug:

A LAN party in Everrett had that happen to it. It was sad cause I would go and try and find people to play any other game but CS, but nobody wanted to. I stayed 24 hours LAN after LAN to see nothing but CS on 80% of the screens. :( I can understand people like certain games, but I've played that one and can't understand how it is so appealing, esp for that long.

But yeah, you're all free to play whatever you want at our LANs. However it is generally more fun when everyone plays the same game at the same time. :) And they play a variety of games

Counterstrike has always been free if you own Half Life. You just download the mod. Pick up DoD(Day of Defeat) also. Cause I want to try that one out. I think Two Degrees is the best place to pick it up. Download was incredibly fast.

Day of Defeat was a lot more fun back before it became hyper-realistic. It's certainly much more polished now, but I can't say that I enjoy playing a game where the garand is nigh unusable. :(

But I bought Platinum Pack, and that comes with both Half-Life and CS retail, so I have two CD keys that I could use for Steam and I only need one.

So Jobe could d/l Steam and use one of my CD keys and have free COUNTARSTRIEK and all the other mods too.

As for DoD, it can be really fun or really bad. Depends on the server.

Be careful with this... when you add a cd key to your steam account, it remains permanently attached to that steam account and you can never use that key with another steam account. So in this case you would need to make sure YOU owned both of the steam accounts that had your cd keys associated with them. Choose a secret question you can remember because you can use it to reset your password if you lose access to your steam account.
