never, mind:
one wasn't connecting to the internet, and the other, well, still having problems with that one; it doesn't work on the KVM switch (making it a pain in the behind).
Also, how do you set it up with 3 computers but only 2 IP addresses?

Gotta use a router, and set up port forwarding. =/ That's the only way I know how to do it, and honestly, I don't know how to do that either beings as games themselves run on their own ports. I guess we'd have to, for example, forward the main ip to 192.168.0.1:7777 for a UT server, for example.
We've got a 4 port KVM we rarely use that has a manual toggle to switch between computers...would that help?

Put two servers on one ip that don't have similar ports. For example, you could have a BF & RVS server on one, or a UT & BF, but you could not have a RVS & UT.
This will require a router. Assign the router the static ip, and forward the ports to the servers.

Maybe we should just put together another really nice system (2600 + 1gig of ram + big hard drive) and with one IP address, we could serve several games at the same time...especially if it's running linux. We could also use it as our DHCP and file server.
Whaddya say, Ender?

Hold off on that third server if you can Ghrog, I'll have a router for you shortly...but for now, just do the two each on their own ip.
And Dave...Sounds good to me, but need to wait till my taxes come in and I need to figure how much of that I'll have to spend. :)

I think we're going through a change in philosophy...we're going to do the game serving off our cumulative laptops, and keep the other systems (specifically our 2500 and 1700) available as "loaners".
The 1ghz we have...um...I don't really know what to do with that yet.
