First of all, yes I do know that MMORPGs are evil. :yes: But a friend at work talked me into getting this on Tuesday when it comes out. I never did play the first one. My PC couldn't handle it when it came out, so I played UO.

Will anyone else around here be playing it?

Not I. I really don't like monthly fees. I will be playing Guild Wars, however, if you were planning on getting that.

I plan on Guild Wars as well.

EQ has no PvP, and I wont be playing it. :<

my brother has tried both EQ2 and WoW...he likes WoW a whole lot more.

From what I read about Guild Wars, its more like Diablo than EQ or UO. Is it true that when you leave town you have a max of 8 people that can go on a quest?

For questing it's more like Diablo. For PvP it's not at all. There will be literal wars, from my understanding (hence Guild Wars).

I'm totally down with Guild Wars... I'll definitely be buying that. But EQ2 is too expensive for my blood.
