Newbie to LANs

I've never gone to a LAN party before. Will I have to buy my own copy of the game? I want to make shure, because I have NONE of the games that are going to be played. It would be great if there was a copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo on location, because I have a 56k connection and don't have the time to download it.

I'll try to come, but there is a possibility my parents won't okay it. If they do, see you Saturday.

Yes, you do need to own the games Java. However, many of the games we play are older and hence not so expensive. For example, you can get Rainbow Six 3 for PC at Electronics boutique in the mall for about $25. Unreal Tournament 2003 is about $20 there. You can get battlefield 1942 online at the EAstore (not sure of the website but type it in google or something) for $29 + shipping. All the mods that we play for Battlefied are free downloads that you can get off the internet OR we will have EVERYTHING in that regard there at the LAN on our File Server. That means the UT2004 Demo as well. :)

Its Java as in the programming language. Not Javascript. Is there a possibilitie that I could use a copy for the day? I won't be playing it beyond the LAN party, so it would be unnecessary to buy a copy of it.

I don't think any of the games we play will allow multiple cdkey uses. RvS might, but I'm not sure.

The UT2k4 demo is free free free! You can get a copy from us and play play play! ;)

We're also going to be play q3 and doom, two games you could prolly get for $1, or they allow multiple users off the same install. :D

I'd say rip them or buy them, I don't think RVS allows multiplaying off the disc.

but i suggest getting some of the new games coming out, Battlefield Vietnam, and athena sword expansion is coming in march also, so is soeldner and MOH Pacific suns.

Original Doom?!?! woah i think i actually have that game =), quake 3, any idea where i should go to find that?

Try Eb's used games area...but q3 is pretty old. Try gogamer.com as well, but it's not likely to get here in time. :shrug:
