...by the end of the night tonight (and I'm talking the end - by 11:59...which will probably be taken advantage of) Signups will be open, the Flyer contest for LAN will be up for voting (better get your entries in!), and BLE Nov's Birthday Bash will be a reality. :D
Prepare. (and get HL2 at eb. ;))

That's like the fourth time someone has told me to stay tuned. Screw this, I'm changing the channel.

Ender works at EB in the mall, if you head by there he will take your money in person. Then he will immediately try to sell you an assortment of videogames.. That bastard.

What a jerk. What sweet games are going to be played this LAN? Plus I never heard how battlefronts turned out at last LAN (no good?)

Battlefront turned out to be fun as hell - but it would still be even more fun if more people had it. The games list on the events page pretty much lists games in the order of expected popularity, but it could be wrong - only the LAN will tell. :rup: But I'd be surprised if the majority of the time wasn't taken up by HL2 (oh please say there will be TFC by the LAN), UT2k4, and T:V. If you only had three games you could get/bring, I'd strongly suggest those three.
And BIOS, I take payments in person, as does Dave. I'm only in bham, and Dave is in mt.vernon and seattle - whichever will work best then get in touch via pm and we'll work it out. We don't do checks in the mail though.

OK, I'll probably have all of the above as well as battlefronts, I'd just really like to see a lot of people playing it. Kind of ruins the whole point of having a large battlefield if there are only 5 people fighting, same is true of BF1942. That's my biggest grievance with BLE, people don't like to play the same games, they just come to BLE andu se the internet. Like the people who play RPGs and MMORPGS at the LAN, wtf is up with that, save your money IMO and not even come if you are going to play those.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone playing an rpg or mmorpg. =/ The only game like that I've seen played is america's army, but there will like 10 people playing it.
It's nothing BLE can help - we do what we can to encourage playing the same game at the same time, but not everyone has the same games, or in most cases, just doesn't feel like playing it right then. It's weird, but that's how it is - it's kinda like at some LANs how people can go and play CS for 24 hours straight - that's gotta be the most hardcore thing ever.

I suppose, but many people just say "I don't like it" even though it would be more fun even if you didn't like the game.

I agree - the first LAN I ever went to I had no desire to play SoF II or Q3, but I did and had a blast because everyone else was.
The point is, it's not BLE's fault it doesn't happen at BLE - there's nothing more we can do about it than we already do. Unless you have a suggestion that you're holding back? ;)
cool, i'm in seattle so i'll send a PM tomorrow or so and hook it up. thanks!
