I see an area of your LAN sign up that might need looking at. You have a limited number of spots due to the size of the LAN location. As interest in the LAN grows, spots on the list get filled. Right now you have 18 people signed up for 15 X-box spots. Only 3 have confirmed. Are the non-confirmed people still guaranteed a spot if they show up to pay on the day of the event? Or will it be a first come basis until there is not enough room?
The reason I ask is this. If someone comes to the site and notices that all the spots are taken, they may not come because they believe there is no room. Meanwhile 10 people on the list decide not to come to the event. Now your left with not enough competition.
I don't know if you have discussed it. And I hope you don’t feel I am poking my nose in your event business. But I have a couple possible solutions.
1. Allow prepay up until the night before. But 1 week before the event remove the names of non-confirmed people unless they sign up with payment. This allows others to sign up and pay if there was previously no room.
2. Do not include the names of non-confirmed people on the list at all. Maybe have a separate list for "Interested in coming" so you can still see how much interest there is in the event.

Two problems that I can see:
1. You'd be discriminating against those who do not have credit cards, and therefore cannot pay online (Those under 18 usually fall into this category).
2. You'd be discriminating against those who do not wish to disclose their credit card information online, and will not use any online payment methods (many people are weary of this).

We believe to have remedied the signup software so people cannot continue to signup after the list has been filled.
For this lan, we'll do everything in our power to make sure we have room for all 18 xbox attendees.
People who prepay do have priority simply because otherwise the number of people who sign up but do not actually attend can get quite high (other lan parties see a "drop-out" percentage of around 33% or more).
I understand many of our participants do not have credit cards, and in those cases they can contact Ender to discuss alternate forms of paying, or at least, confirming their status.

You don't need a credit card to use paypal.

I can guarantee that these X-Box players WILL be there. They all anticipated paying at the door.

If things progress to the point that we need to, we'll implement a waiting list. Of course our goal is to make these party's so frickin cool that nobody chooses not to show up if they've signed up. ;) If in the case that somebody who does not show up (and is also unconfirmed) then we can call (hence that option in the signups) the people on the waiting list and let them know there's spots open. The people who are coming to the site to sign up and see the spots are full should know that anyone UNCONFIRMED (as in by not prepaying) can be shoved down the list if someone CONFIRMS by prepaying. You'll notice that everyone who has confirmed is at the top of the list.
People can confirm by prepaying via PAYPAL (which is free, for anyone, without cc info). Or they can contact me via email and meet up with me in person to pay in cash. This way everyone has a fair shot. :)
The current software setup makes it so if the list is full and someone tries to sign up it will ask them if they want to sign up for next months.

That takes care of the problems I saw. Maybe it should say that on the events page.
And I did not mean to try to bump out the younger players without credit cards or those who choose not to use credit cards online. I was just trying to find a way to have as many people as possible at the LAN. More people = more frags. ;)
