Very no. Use plugnplaycomputers. Very helpful and 15 dollar shipping if you live in WA, just ask them. I got a 3200+, 512 pc3200, 9600xt, 120gb computer from them for a friend for 400?

Good deal if it stays low, you'll need a different video card for Farcry and such though.

LOLSUP? First, its funny that they put a pic of half life 2 with a FX 5200. Second, 5200 is the retard of the FX family, third, Nvidia is not the way HL2 was meant to be played, ATI is the way its meant to be played.

Let me ask him if I can get the same deal. He might not sell it to me outright for $400 considering that it isn't even listed with those specs, I'll try though, but I'm not buying it for you unless you give me some money off the top.

Since my brother knows you we'll be fine with giving you money to buy it for us. Thanks for looking into it. Please PM me once you find out.

The fact is, if you want a PC to play games, you will never be happy with a $400 PC. If you have some parts you can use over, like hard drives, CD-rom, or case. Then you can get something worth having.

If you can't afford a good system, start out with good components that you can build onto later. Start out with a decent cpu and Mobo combo. and a good graphics card. Then upgrade to a second stick of ram later.

Buying a PC from a guy on ebay that uses lines like "gold plated leads on RAM" will only get you a piece of shit. Not to mention if they charge you $75 for s&h they are making up for the cheap prices on their hardware.

The following is $465 plus shipping. If you already have some parts it could be less.

kingston pc-3200 512MB ram $80

AMD 2800 and Motherboard combo. $100

Aspire X-Dreamer II(Black) ATX Mid-Tower Case with 350W Power Supply $56

SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9600PRO $105

NEC 8X Black Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive $61

Seagate 80GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive $63

That was an excellent post of excessive's. ^^^^^ :D

Also, if you wanted to you could take out the DVD burner and just get a combo drive (Rosewell) for $30 @ newegg, and you could get a cheaper tower as well probably. :rup:

Thanks for the advice. What I'm kinda planning on doing is getting a decent computer as a base then upgrading it as I get money. But 400 is my absolute max. That's all I can throw into it for now.

SCM cant beat that. You could also grab a smaller hard drive. 40 gigs will work fine if you dont whore up your space.

If 400 is your limit, go with excessive, take off the 60 buxxor DVD drive and your set to go.
