what is it about flies

Flies are always drawn to intense light though it usually causes harm as they smash into the light bulb and get burnt and sometimes stuck in fixtures and die. Yet they keep doing it over and over again. I don't recall ever seeing a spider, or a cat or a bee ever do that. Its funny, how a certain organism can just keep doing the stupid stuff that hurts them everytime. The same shit that causes the burn even though it may be nice for a moment or two till you actually hit it.

They also fly into my computer through the blue led 120mm fan and die. I dont know why they are attracted to light. Hmm, good stumper.

My old case had about 6-7 sources of red light in it and it would attract so many mosquitos (I leave my window open) heh, I took it apart and found about 50 or so dead insects inside of it, and never got a mosquito bite once.

Also: Insects + Lights are like FeaR + Women. heh

maybe its the fact that something about it is beautiful to them. the warmth and the bright colors draw them into a place where there are lots of other fly's buzzing around and they don't realize till its to late. Then they try to get away but they are blinded from the light and already hurt and can't seem to find there way often.

Yes FeaR, I get no mosquito bites since i started leaving my pc on 24/7. Now when I see a mosquito flying around in my room at night I just think "Heh, just wait till the lights go off tonight you stupid bug." Instead of jumping up and trying to crush it with a pillow.

I tend to only get flies here, and damn they are annoying, but I relish in finding chopped up bits of fly inside my case :>

Because i have a 120mm fan it has a low rpm, the bugs hit it and get all fubared, then die inside and i find their whole bodies muaahahaha

I don't get flies or mosquitos, but I get those little itty bitty fruit-fly-like things that flirt around my monitor at night! You wouldn't believe the amount of willpower it takes to not squish them on my monitor! :burst:
