The link you reference doesn't appear to be valid.

Fix the link, and the picture should load up fine =).

Otherwise, you can always save the picture to your hard drive, and attach it via the "attach file". The picture will display right below your post.

I've been playing around with UT2k4 in 800x600, with effects turned on with decent framerates. With the effects turned off I'm sure it would work perfectly. I'm guessing if I can play a new game with lots of graphics(UT2k4) then it should be fine for the other games.

Seems like you guys got some pretty good computers, mine runs full FX with no fps drop, but I wish I could add a more custom touch to it, so I'm going to mill some aluminum parts at my school like a fangrill or something with BLE or something cool on it.

oh man if I had the time...I would love to get into modding and stuff. Just, well, no time. :)

If I run full fx I get fps drop, but I'm more in for gameplay so I normally turn down fx anyways. It can look pretty as hell, but I need a smooth running game in order to play well and have fun. Plus I need to hold out for nvidia to get there act together so I don't have to buy ati. :mad: :x

I would take some pictures of my case but then again I can draw it too in paint. Its black with blue lights on the top and in the front. I dont have any case mods but in the words of the guy in my avatar "Doin what I can with what I got." He also had my worst fear happen to him too. "I am complety out of ammo." I mean that in more than just games. But I like the way I have some suttle blue. its kinda dark blue and how it bixes in with my black case.

I'm planning on doing a full case mod, starting with nothing and making it awesome, it'll be a simplistic design with lots of moving panels.

If I were building my own computer..... I would snag one of the mobile coolers that we sell where I work. It's a little mini fridge for your car. I'd take that, cut out some ports in the back for all the plugs, add some bondo to it and make a cool looking shape, paint it with some automotive paint, and put a plexiglass window on the side. Then use an old power supply to convert AC to 12Volt DC to power the cooler and I'd be set. Overclock the thing as much as I want and it would still be running cooler than everyone else.

BTW.... If anybody wants to try this I'll get you a cheap price on the cooler and help you out with it. I've got all the ideas, just don't have the money.

You could, but you'd be robbing your motherboard of a lot of power. Peltier devices are not very efficient. I think it would be easy enough to just run a second power supply. And you wouldn't need an expensive one. BTW, for those of you that haven't figured this out, old power supplies are great for use as a power inverter to run your 12 goodies. I've used power supplies to run my car stereo and amplifers in the house. Really fun hooking up two 12's and a 400watt amplifier to your house stereo. I broke a picture in the next room. It came off it's hanger.

BTW, if you already have the computer and an extra power supply, you aren't looking at that much money. You can buy a cheap cooler from Target for something like $50. Then you are just looking at the time to modify it. In fact, I think I'll check the measurements of our coolers tomorrow. I'm not sure if it will fit a full ATX board. It would fit a Micro ATX really easily.

I'm going to be putting it up on Ebay tomorrow. I've had 3 people tell me they were going to send me a check, then they each backed out. I'm selling it with a full install kit. Remote bass gain adjuster, 4ga power, 8 ga ground, 16 ga remote lead, Monster Cable Quad Helix RCA's, 60amp inline fuse, 12 ga speaker wire and 4 RCA elbow connectors.

Bidding will start at $200 with a reserve of $250. I'm guessing it will sell for around $300. I've been seeing ones in above average condition sell for $275, mint ones sell for around $300. And those are JUST for the amp. I'm selling a whole kit.

My idea is pretty cool IMO.

Basically its a highly reflective mirrored class square (3d rectangle), there is no detail on the sides front or top and minimal (except for wires coming out...) detail in the back. There is one button on top that glows blue, you press that, part of the front receedes into the case, then a section above that slides down. When the lower part receeded it would also bring two smaller panels down lower along with it, then two panels that were on the inside of those panels slides out and a fan comes out, while this is happening, a fan slot opens up on the top, and on both sides nothing on the outside happens, but it lights up to show through the mirrored glass with glowing blue with some cool design or something. It will rock, I'm going to actually try and do it.

Unless you are building a show car or a competition car, that is completely useless. My 500watt(650 RMS rated by audio review magazines) JL amplifier, hooked up to me recently sold pair of JL 10W6 subs put out 135.6db without distortion. And that was tuned for SQ(sound quality). If I tuned it specifically for SPL(sound pressure level aka loudness), I'm sure I could have hit close to 140. My setup was loud enough to shake the walls of my newly built house, while I was working on my system. Any louder and you will have massive hearing damage.

It's about building a PC that people come from across the room to look at when your at a LAN.

Looks nice, but the final touches dont look too good, you have to spend more time then just cutting the holes in the case, make sure they blend in to the case.

When the case is empty, just stand back and shoot at it for a few rounds...then just use the holes you can for stuff and others, well, they'll provide some good cooling AND look really authentic! :rup: ;)

Actualy mine is the same except for the front logo and the top pannel and side window. They have lots of configurations for the xaser 3.
