I dunno...we've ALWAYS had problems with it, even after trying to change the port listing as you advised in another thread.

Takes forever and a day to load maps up (on all computers), asks for cd keys everytime you start a multiplayer session, and it seems like you can't have a bunch of people trying to join a game at the same time.

The only way we've ever been able to play it is using the 1.0 patch...the 1.41 has never worked right for us. :mad:

Btw, have you guys checked through the FAQ (http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ubisoft.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_li=&p_page=1&p_prod_lvl1=88&p_prod_lvl2=257&p_cat_lvl1=%7Eany%7E&p_search_text=&p_new_search=1&p_search_type=3&p_sort_by=dflt)? That's where I found info to fix my lan problems. THere's a whole bunch of solutions there for cd key errors when playing in a lan environment.

The main problems we get are people can't connect, and when you can connect, the game gets extremely warpy.

I can't recall the error message you get trying to connect to the server, but it's something like "Server not responding". We've tried many, many different systems serving and nothing works as it should.

The warping problem is just as bad...you can be walking around in the game for 45 seconds, then suddenly you warp back to your starting point. It's extremely annoying.

I've never seen the warping problem, but wasn't that before you invested in the new switch? Maybe that was the problem, who knows.

I've had the 'server not responding' error a lot when trying to play online, but never on lan. The only errors I got on lan were 'cd key already in use' type errors.

The only thing I can think of that would give you a server not responding error is 1- people are running different versions of the game, or 2- somehow the port is blocked. #2 doesn't make any sense on a lan, but I suppose its possible. #1 I assume you were smart enough to check that.

Also, if you guys want to spend some time on this before your next lan, I can give you some cd-keys (temp use only of course) and you can install on the machines in your shop there and troubleshoot.

And if all that fails, well, buy me a plane ticket dammit.

We just tried to play last week, three systems using the new switch and we still had severe warping. :bulb:

And that same problem exists for everyone, regardless of who's on the server...it's bizarre.

I'm not helping you with a plane ticket unless you let me win at least one round on Rocket Arena. :grumpy: ;)
