x800 pro or 6800gt

Here is the deal, I really want a 6800gt because of its awesome scores on Doom3 ultra settings. However I have the opportunity to buy a x800pro for $340, which should Ido?

x800 - but only because of the price difference. If I had all the money I needed I'd get the nvidia.

I would go for the x800Pro on one condition: If it was a vivo card. Why? Because vivo edition x800Pro cards can have their bios flashed to unlock all 16 pixel pipelines, equivilent to the XT Platinum Edition. Make sure you have good cooling though, because sometimes they aren't able to run at actual XT speeds. Some are able to go well over XT speeds however, so it's sort of a gamble.

Btw: This wouldn't happen to be This (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-161-119&depa=0) card would it? If not, what brand? Would I be able to get in on this too? I'll be getting a new videocard within the next week.

Umm Fear, you can get an XT for that cheap. Go to ATI's website and there is a 10% off coupon 500-50 = 450. If you have that much money, go for it XT rocks.

The card I linked you to has better cooling than the one on ATI's website and it will be just as fast.

Plus it looks cooler.
