Hey guys, well I just found out about this and let me tell you, I'm stoked, I've been looking around for local gamers to play with and what do we have here? Excactly what I'm looking for. So a little be about me, my online name is Jobe16 and I've been hardcore online gaming since december of 2002, started out with Battlefield 1942 and still play it as my main game of choice, played on clan [FRAG] (http://www.fragnastika.com) and they recently went to the CAL Playoffs and placed second. I'm staff over at FpsCentral's Bf42.com site (http://www.bf42.com) and I moderate alot of their forums. I'm on two mods, one mod for Battlefield 1942 called Operation Overlord (http://overlord.nucleardays.com), and one for Battlefield Vietnam called Point of Existence (http://www.pointofexistence.fpscentral.com) for both of which I model buildings and guns. I also play a little bit of Call of Duty, but not too much, I never really got into it as much as I wanted, never really liked it, I play it with some freinds for school and thats about it. I now play quite a bit of Raven Sheild, I plan on going for the pistols only competition (Mk23 going to get you all ;)). In real life I'm just a sophmore at BHS not much to talk about since I mainly live online :). So I hope to hang out here for as long as I play computer games.
Ph33r my 1337 sk1llz ;)

:woot: w00tar!
Glad to have you aboard. Unfortunately classic BF has never been a hit as everyone tends to DC the most. But I'd be up for some Classic BF! :woot:
Other than that Ravenshield is a big game with us, and with the ut2k4 demo out I anticipate some of that as well. :)
And did you say modelling????? Well then there's a good chance there'll be some freelancing stuff available here if you're interested (non-paid though ;)). See yonder DiscoDave and myself for further information. :)
Glad to have you aboard and tell your friends fo sho! :woot:

Yeah, DC does seem to be the current flavor, when I saw your list though I saw I82 and GC for mods to play, seems like those are kinda weird to be there, EOD and some other mods would probably be a better choice to play, but oh well, I go with whats set. I'm dl'ing the latest patch of DC, but its taking a helluva long time, oh well, I can wait. I'd love to do some modelling work, my freind in california might actually be hooking me up with a modelling job for him because he's running his own hosting company (http://www.next-evolution.com) so I'll be doing some server modelling and stuff. Here's Ste Mere Eglise I made for OpOv (38 Buildings in all) http://overlord.nucleardays.com/forums/uploads/post-23-1073163049.jpg.
Also, later on when my mods are closer to release, I'll try and hook us up with a early release so we can play before everyone else.

right on! I'm not sure how I82 and GC got listed for mods...we attempted to play those once a while ago, but haven't since and don't really plan on it in the future.
We do play a go-kart race mod for BF but this LAN will be the last time as we are preparing to move to something else. (some modelling will be required. ;))
Also with Star wars battlefront, GC will fade away..uh...because it never faded in. ;)
Anyways, we're all getting together for bowling at 21st Century on State street right now, so if you can head on over if not hope to see you soon at the lan next week! :woot:

Cool, I might try and come, but as I don't have the license I can't get there in a second, but I might drop by.

Glad to have another PC Gamer aboard...especially one that doesn't play Counter Strike (bwahahah).
I think you'll fit right in...DC and RVS are generally the most played games at our events, followed by UT2k3 [which will likely be replaced by ut2k4 "soon"].
Sorry we didn't see you at the bowling event, but I look forward to meeting you next week. =D

Yeah, my dad was already left after he gave me the flyer, but I think I'll probably be able to come, hopefully. Pff CS, my bro used to play, but I never liked it.
