Loved it.
Ok, so I grew up playing hockey and I'm a bit partial to the sport. Not to mention I watched the U.S. vs U.S.S.R. game with my team one night to get us pumped up.
The movie is good though. Really good acting by Kurt Russell, and good performances by the no name actors - the players. It had it's cheesy moments cause hey, it's a feel good family movie. And if you're not that into hockey then it will probably be just average. But this was a movie that I really really enjoyed.
They recreated the game really well. Not exactly but really close. They did a really good job of getting you to like the characters as well. This movie had a similar feel to The Rookie now that I think about it.
It's been a long time since I went to a movie and enjoyed myself this much. Therefore, a good grade is in order:
