So???
I've decided I'm going to do it pretty often. It takes soo much less time the more often you do it. I installed a couple programs yesterday, and defrag only took about 10 minutes. I'd much rather do that then wait a couple months and have it take 2 hours.

defraggin is becoming a pain as one of my 40gb drives is so full I have to transfer stuff around to get it to actually defrag.

Hardly ever. I think they're highly over-rated.

I don't notice a diference unless I wait until its more than 30-35%. And even then it only gets you less than 5% performance increase. I do it after a fresh install of OS and programs, then every 3 months or so.

Not often enough, but I too think it is a bit over-rated. Too much time for too little return. Especially when that time could be spent here, writing you guys.

defragging will get you little to almost no performence boost. but it does make your HD not have to work as hard, as everything is neatly organized. So defragging is more of a physical computer matience practice then it is performance enhancer

There's not a "never" option, even though I need to.
