why I hate the RIAA

I'm a subscriber to Napster. I pay $9.95 a month and can download as much music as I want, and play it as much for however long I want on my PC. If I want to burn it I pay 99 cents a track or 10bucks an album, but since I mostly listen to music in my PC this works great for me, plus allows me to preview artists, find people I would have never listend to even without paying for the music as napster gives suggestions about what artists you might like.

Anyway Napster=Rulexor. The RIAA=Gay because the few tracks I can't find on napster like a remix of "I started a joke" is almost impossible to find. Neither iTunes, nor napster have it. I can by the zoolander soundtrack which has it but that costs about $15 for a single song as I have the rest of the songs. So I turn to kazaa lite. Well the first 15 tries give me tracks that have been ruined by the RIAA. Finnaly I find one that seems to work fine, but downloads @ about 0.33-0.55kbps.

I'm going to get it. I want this song, and I've tried to get it, but my question is why the RIAA doesn't want my money? I'd be willing to buy this song for $0.99 from somebody. I have the money, I have a debit card, I have a connection! I'm ready to go! Why aren't they??? Why is it they are to busy destroying every song on kazaa that they can't take the time to sell me a song?

Doesn't seem like sound buisness sense to me, but hey if they don't want my money...

well yeah I love napster, its just its taken the RIAA sooo long to actually realize that people want to be able to download certain songs from the web.

Because BLE is all about our patrons, I've taken it upon myself to personally contact a board member of the RIAA and ask him about this very topic. Here is his response:

You have posed a qualified question in regards to our supply of high quality tracks such as the remix "I Started a Joke" as heard in the critically aclaimed motion picture, Zoolander.

As I'm sure you are aware, we have been slow to adapt to the INTARWEB. Although it was invented early in the Clinton administration by Al Gore, we have only recently realized that it is a tool upon which we can make more money that you, everyone you know, everyone you ever will know, and every musician and band combined and multiplied by 3.6.

Originally we saw the INTARWEB as mearly a tool for the pirates who seek to do damage to our noble cause of raping musicians up the ass and picking other young attactive adults that have been approved by our visual focus groups and shoving their "music" down your throats, all while making massive sums of money. And I don't just mean moderately massive sums of money. We don't even know what to do with it all. We've just purchased our 17th landfill to dump it all. Have I mentioned that I love my job?

But I regress.

The other major problem we have with the INTARWEB is that with free trade of media, our functionality may no longer be necessary, and we may not be able to continue building Money Landfills. I cannot speak much of it for the time being, but the code name is: "BUTIFOL" It's a play on words, you see. I'm not really supposed to tell you this, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt. It's short for Blow Up The INTARWEB For Our Landfills.

I hate clinton and everything he has ever "done" for us. LIke what... He down sized out milatary power by half. Hy giving it all to canada. He also wants to ban guns. My main problems with Clinton were: He was a lying bastard, his foreign policy was concentrated $#!+, and he was too good at being too slick.
