Buying parts in Canada

Any of you buy up in Canada? I've got a friend up there, and he's telling me the prices of everything up there, and it looks like Canada should be where we are going for parts. I guess the local stores up in Vancouver are competitive with our online stores, and that's BEFORE the exchange rate. He was telling me he got his 8 port switch awhile back(which he is give me since I took back my switch; I paid too much), and he only paid aprox. $7 US for it. Anyways, he keeps giving me prices that are amazing.

Too far for me to drive. And too much of a hassle with the border, and birth cirtificates etc. Although I did drive up to bellingham today to get new cooling fans for my video card and CPU. So much quieter now.
