My bro and I were the first in town to get our hands on Doom3, it took about 30 min of "chatting" with the manager at Best Buy, but they let us grab one and even started selling them a day early!!! Been playing it non-stop since I got home and I have to say....SWEET.

10/10, GREAT graphics, awesome gameplay, SCARES the shit outta me! A must buy!

I worked at best buy and whenever we got a new game in it was all sealed up in the back and if that tape was cut one second before selling morning there was some serious hell to pay. The publishing company could sue best buy for a LOT of money if they found out a copy got out a day early.

Doom 3 wins for scariest fps ever, close the polls, it's SO OVER. Also, I've spent the last few years bitching and whining about how lame FPS bosses have been lately (GG uber soldats and rob zombie with armor in RtCW that move like 1 mph). In this sense, Doom 3 most definitely does not disappoint. The graphics are very sweet, but even on medium settings it absolutely kills my computer, and I thought I had a pretty decent machine before now. I can run UT2k4 with everything cranked ffs.

When I have more time I may write a fuller review in the appropriate forum.

what he said...though I'm not expecting much. However, the mp review will be the only factor that decides whether or not I get this game. I don't buy SP games. Well except Far Cry, which I kinda regret. Though the next patch is supposed to make it a lot better.

You'd have to be retarded to buy this game for the MP. It's so slow and zzzzz. They obviously designed it to be a singleplayer game and that's what it does best. If you want a great futuristic MP game, play UT2k4. ;)

Nathan if you have any interest in horror, I highly encourage you to try the singleplayer. It's pretty intense. Plus it will make your computer cry.

Well there is very little interest to be honest, but the main reason I don't play SP games is the time issue. I don't have enough time to play all the MP games I have. :( There's no way I could justify a SP game. :( I'm sure if I had the time then I'd probably have more interest.

Thanks for the warning on the mp though, that helps me to make the decision. :)

Sounds like this game will be good for me and my Xbox. I don't have a good net connection to play multiplayer games. So I like Single player games. To bad I can't download it like you lucky PC'ers.
