Well, at least, that's what I think, based on prior internet knowledge.

Every other site I've been to, n00b = idiot, and newb = newbie, so it makes more sense to use newb.

Well, I make it sound like I've been to a buncha places, but mostly I've just been to the message boards at www.gamefaqs.com (since their inception). And that's how it is 'round those parts.

Hmm.. the two other boards I frequent are quite different in all regards, so they can't really be compared. One doesn't really have any noob titles. And the other... well... everyone is a bastard. I'm the "Truck Driv'n Lurk'n Bastard". Then there is the "Evil Bastard", the "Pic Posting Bastard", the "Break Danc'n Bastard", the "Grand Bastard", etc! They even have Bastard of the Month.
