depends...I love racing games, and Gran Turismo is the baddest of the bad ass....its almost worth it just to get the next Playstation just for that game.

If Xbox 2 is backwards compatible, and still supports XBL, I'll get that... Halo 2 is gonna be the last game I buy for a while...

No Fable or KOTOR 2 or Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow?

Fable looks alright. I like the depth of the game, the possibilities... but I like my RPG's turn-based, call me old fashioned. I "might" purchase this one.

Knights of the Old Republic II looks decent enough. The first game was fantastic, but it was also handled by BioWare. KotORII is handled exclusively by Lucas Arts, and while Lucas Arts owns Star Wars, they've hardly made any noteworthy titles.

I'm currently having a great time with Rainbow Six 3, and the next installment looks like a good upgrade. But, throwing new maps and the newer XBL features doesn't warrant $39.99 from me... I'll probably just rent that.

Only two things will prevent Halo 2 from being the last game I buy for a long time...
1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords gets great reviews, is at least as good as the original, and is considered a MUST BUY...
2. Bungie gets us good, and DOES release Halo 2 on Aug 24th.

Other than that... my original statement still stands.

Fable........................................September 13th
Mortal Kombat: Deception........October 4th
Halo 2......................................November 9th
Star Wars: KotOR II..................December 12th

I look forward to anything that can distract me. However, I rarely get the time for distraction, so getting and trying out something new just doesn't fit into current plans. So, I am sticking with Nintendo 64. :(

KOTOR 2 is being developed by Black Isle, of Icewind Dale fame.
