22/male. I'm in my second year at WCC. I'm mainly an Xboxer, but I like some PC gaming too.

Unlike Pinecone, I'm not into rough butt sex. Call me old fashioned but I prefer the female gender. ;)

Never done any lan parties. I've always tried to find people that were into it. All my friends like playing the games, but everyone refused to move their PC's.

Other than that...I'm into 4x4'ing, snowboarding, kayaking, mtn. biking, hunting(some modern firearms, but mainly archery).

Glad to have you on the site! Our parties are a blast, just ask some of the regulars. And it's definitely worth it to come, whether for xbox only or PC gaming. :) For a small entrance fee you get all you can drink soda, all you can eat snacks, pizza dinner, random door prize giveaways, and entry to all the tournaments we have! Well worth it, cause we're there from 10a.m. until 2:00 am the next day (later if you want too - that's just the time most people seem to take off).

Well, I'm going to be buying some more ram for my laptop. No clue if it would be fast enough for all the lan games though.

1.8 Celeron, soon to have 512MB DDR PC2100 ram, 30GB HD, and where it really really lacks... 16MB Geforce4. :rolleyes: I've got a SB Extigy for surround, which wouldn't do me any good at a Lan party. It gets most of the job done.

a 16 mb gf4? Is that real? I've never heard of that before...but then, I guess it is a laptop.

You might be able to run most of the games on low settings actually. A guy that came to our first party had a laptop with similar settings and he was able to play fine. He just had to have the games on the lowest settings.

I really got screwed. I had a Toshiba laptop:
800Mhz P3, 256MB Ram, 16MB Geforce2Go, 20gig HD, 1394, tons of USB ports, SD media slot, removable bays, thin and light.

It had some problems with it that I wanted fixed. CompUSA told me that the cost to fix the stuff was really high(all under the extended warranty) and that it would take a couple of weeks to get the parts. It basically needed a new screen, new MB, new charger. They said they'd give me a newer faster one in it's place if I wanted it. The P3 800Mhz is way better than a Celeron 1.8Ghz. I found that out the hard way. Specs wise my old computer looks slower... but this one just seems slower to me.

I've been trying to get some of the SVE guys that live over there (at WWU) to join, maybe you can convince them, eh? uh, i haven't ever met them, but from what i hear they play xbox and counter-strike all day in their dorm, and only leave for food and classes, if you know them, or ever run into them, well, uh, try and get them to come.

Okay, this is me.. I am the Store Director of a grocery store. Sounds more pretigious than it really is. 30 yrs old. Married 10 years. 1 girl, 1 boy, 1 on the way. Been gaming seriously (whatever that means) about 2 years or so now. Started with Wolfenstein, Doom, Command & Conquer, and text only Battleship :) . Friends with Ender before all you!!!:moon: . But that still does not make me cool. :no: . Very much enjoy DC, RvS and Spyfox (with my kids, if you knew it, you'd laugh). Other than that, my first experience with LANs have been solely with BLE. I remember them starting out in the ol' garage. Come a long way Ender! Keep it up. Props to Disco, Ghrog and everyone else for the current LANs. Long live BLE, but not Itsmee (RvS only);)
