My favorite extreme sport is LANing. Cause when I LAN, I have a guantlet to run when I get home. (My wife hates it when I LAN).

truly a tough one to say, but if I had all the time and money I could want and could do whatever extreme sport I wanted, I would probably sponsor myself to desert race, as in races like the Baja 500 and 1000 or any of the S.C.O.R.E. races. Sure it's not as 'extreme' as others, but it still qualifies. :)

Someone once asked me if I had to pick a job and not get paid for it, what would I choose? Well off road racing would be it. I love watching trucks with 5 foot of suspension travel launch of a dune. Man I wish I could afford to do that.

Not extreme???? Are you joking?? Baja is definately extreme. I'd love to do desert races, rally races, or GT races... Those three are incredibly awesome.

But the sports that I actually do... would be snowboarding, kayak surfing, and surfing. I just got a new whitewater kayak for Christmas, but I need to learn my roll before I get into whitewater kayaking.

Shadowmaster, what kayak do you have? I've got a Necky Bliss.

I should clarify I guess...when I think of desert racing I think of the motorcycle aspect of it. I would definitely agree that the guys that do the baja in trucks or bajabugs are extreme, but it just barely crosses that line for motorcyles imo. I guess the reason for that is because of all the extreme sports I've ever done or do, I would consider myself best at that one (desert racing motorcylces - even though I've never entered an actual race). I've been riding dirt bikes as long as I've been able to walk it seems (started out on the front of my dad's bike till I had my first Suzuki 50cc). I've been riding in Baja since I was 11. I feel very confident and comfortable in that environment so that's why it doesn't seem very extreme to me though I know technically it would qualify.

Of all the races, the 500 and 1000 are definately the most extreme as that's a hella long race. To date the most I've done in a day (prolly around 8 hours of hard riding) was about 200-250 miles TOPS. I can't be sure as it was a long time ago, but doing 500 non stop would be killer, let alone 1000. Of course nowadays most of the entrants are teamed up, splitting the track up, which is a good idea. In fact, to be honest, Maddeh and I are still planning on racing in the Baja 500 as soon as we possibly can. That could be 5 years from now, but mark my words we will do it. :)

I don't do it enough to own one. I only get to do it a few times a year at camps and stuff.:( But it's still one of my fav extrme sports because I have a ton of fun when I get to do it.
