New member here. Just wondering if there are any decent Halo players here. Not PC. Only on the Xbox. Does B.L.E. host any tournaments 2v2 or 4v4? How popular is Halo here? From the looks of the sight i'm guessin it's not the top priority. I used to play at Game Clucks in Lynnwood. I challenge any 2v2 against me and my buddy R-Dizzle. For money or for pride, either way we'll take it from you. Also are there cash prizes at these lans? Tournaments are the way to go to make some serious money. peace.

We'll throw the tournies if you bring the players baby!
Prolly won't be doing the cash thing, but we do give away gift certificates from Electronics boutique and free xbox games that haven't come out yet or are just barely out (pre-order them for you fully paid).
Need at least 11 xbox players (you guys get a discount since you're only playing xbox) and we'll throw whatever tourny everyone wants and give you a sweet prize for it. :D
Unfortunately, my xbox talent is limited to SC2, if that, and so I'd just be cannon fodder for ya, but I do know a couple of guys that freakin' rock at Halo, one of which is reported to be the best around...I'll let them know you want to die. ;)
Bring it on!

I love Halo. We don't get to play much anymore, since people have graduated (WWU) and moved away... so my skills are no doubt slipping from me. But, I consider myself to be talented enough to hang in with anyone.
If anyone feels like hosting a LAN match, I can bring an X-Box, the game, and two or three friends. I'm looking for some 8 on 8 team matches though. I've had up to five people on each team, which is great, but I'd much rather have good sized (skilled) teams goin' at each other.
FYI: I'm not die hard. I enjoy winning, but I enjoy having fun even more. I'm not interested in playing with people that will scream if you make minor mistakes.
EDIT: Also, I'm a big fan of mixing up the gameplay. Slayer here, CTF there, King of the Hill and Oddball thrown in, and LOTS of team games...
EDIT #2: Didn't seem to make sense to make a new thread for this... but If you didn't know (which I'm sure many of you do) Bungie announced "Fall, 2004" for Halo 2's release. They've been releasing "Halo 2 Weekly Updates", and you can find those at halo.bungie.net when the time is right. Cheers

Heyas stumanji...I may be in touch with you about that xbox. :)
We have had 4 xbox's in the past all hooked up. We set that up every LAN! So bring as many people as you can, and you'll have some sweet gaming! It's only $10 for xbox only admission, and that gets you all you can drink sodas, all you can eat snacks and pizza dinner, and entry to all our door prizes. If there is is enough xbox players (at least 11 per tourny), we'll have a tournament of your choice and give away either a pre-order for an upcoming xbox game, or a gift card for Electronics boutique to buy whatever you want! You're getting a helluva bang for your buck here!
So bring it on!

Thanks for the replys. I'm not sure if me and my friends will be attending any lans in the future. We like cash prizes and only know about 4 good halo players round here. not 11. oh well, if we get into SC2 i'll post. anyone can check my profile and get my cell number if they wanna play good halo around Buchanan Towers. (near Haggen) for fun or for money. Ender, have your friends contact me if they wanna throw down.
HALO 2 will rule.

btw...Halo 2 is likely to be one of our pre-order giveaways. ;) Not this lan of course, but closer to its release date in the fall.
And you may not know 11 people, but since you started posting here I started letting people that there were 2 peeps who figured they could beat the best in bham...your competition will be waiting. ;)

If all goes well with school, and I can get some free time that particular weekend, I'll probably be there...
I'm good. Good enough to play with anyone... now it's a matter of big numbers.
2 on 2 games are a bit different than 4 on 4, 6 on 6, etc... So I hope there are big numbers at this LAN.

I'll be hitting all the gaming places around for Halo players...I'm pretty sure I should be able to come up with some decent competition, and hopefully a nice 8v8 game, I'd totally get into that! :woot:

and nothing pleases me more than someone who's wet their pants with joy! ;)
We'll have to work the town pretty good, but if we can get the players, we'll have a kick ass time, then they'll bring themselves forever more! :woot:

Well, here's another Xboxer to add to your list. I found this site by complete accident, checking to see if there was any advertisement for this weekends Halo Tourney(no ads).
I'm up for Halo whenever. I haven't been playing it lately due to Unreal Championship Live.... but I'm spending the next two nights getting back into the Halo groove before the Tourney.
As far as PC games go.... I've got Half-Life, UTGOTY, Jedi Outcast, and I don't know what other games are sitting around.

You Xbox players should try contacting InHuman and Ceyx, they have been part of a SSBM tourney before (I think InHuman's dad helped set one up?) They were at the last lan playing UT2003.

That's what I'm into now, UT on Xbox Live. Insanely fast paced. And it's cool being able to talk to the others with the headsets. Hmm... I think I might have to come to the Lan party on the 28th.... Some Xbox smackdown. I'd play the PC games too... but I don't have extra money to invest in all the games.

Actually I don't know of anybody who plays Unreal Championship. The guys I mentioned (InHuman, Ceyx) play it on computer because really, the controls work much better.

I would play it on PC, but I've got the old Unreal Tournament GOTY edition.

UT1 is good stuff too. We may have to hook some of that up and have some unofficial deathmatch at the next lan.
One more post and you get an avatar, woot

I have Midway's Arcade Classics, I can bring that to the LAN and we can get a mean game of 3-player Rampage going. ;)
