That one should be good for $100. Are you wanting cheaper or is that good?

He's asking for a cheap card... I'm guessing that means he's not going to have the money to buy a brand new mobo that has a pci-x slot. ;)
**And any card that uses a pci-x slot isn't going to be cheap.**

Honestly, I'd wait. There's a slew of new video cards coming out as we speak that will hopefully shake things up a bit.

actually I'm guessing lower end cards will migrate very quickly. The nvidia MX's and the ATI SE's. Basicly just another thing to flash at people to make them buy it. mid to high range will migrate slower as many of there loyal costumer base have older mobos and the high ends will be about 50/50 at fist but move to PCI X fairly quickly.

How cheap? Can you give us a ballpark idea about what you can spend?
I like newegg. but you might try pricewatch if you know the exact card you want.

Im just going to put an el cheapo vid card in this ($100 128MB GeForce) and a beefy 9800pro 128MB in my buil't comp, or if the Pci-X comes out before then, or soon, or whatever, ill just go with that personally. ^_^ *excited about Pci-X*

lol seriously, what's the point.
All this bandwidth the card cant even touch, not going to make an ounce of difference.

if you can afford, get an ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256

the XT is an ok budget card if you can save a few more dollars though another good budget card that isn't known quite as well is the nVIDIA Quadro FX3000 (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-133-103&depa=1). FPS wise it will just get you by till doom3 comes out which then you can switch to a pci xpress radeon 9200se or something better.

I can spend between 100 and 200 dollars and i hate geforce cards. so whatever u guys think would be best for some of the up coming games like WoW or warhammer 40k or the middle earth one.

9700Pro, or if you can fork over another $20 you can get a 9800Pro.
