Prince of Persia

Prince of Persia Sands of Time

I'll admit I only played the first one but were all the others just side jaunts or something? Herm, o well I guess. I really liked the first one with the bnanana men. good times, good times :)

no serious! what is with the story lines here? I loved the original prince of persia but it seems with each interconnection betwixt the the games unless I'm missing some major plot development that has gone on between the games?

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is pretty cool. I only played one level of the game, but it was a good level. The controls were tight, and the visuals were nice....

Also, I think the game got Game of the Month from EGM, which is considered the top console gaming magazine (Game Informer is also good).

Prince of Persia was one of the most popular 2d sidescrollers on old computers (pre-Win95!!). They combined platform gameplay with puzzles and some combat and, for their time, looked awesome.

Prince of Persia 3d was a shitty licensed remake.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is another licensed remake, unrelated to the first one, and it kicks ass. I'm about to review it in the Reviewing Stuff Forum and I found this thread searching to see if anyone else did a review yet.

The latest iteration is Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within and I hear it isn't so hot. I believe a different development team made it than PoP: SoT. According to that link in your post it looks like this is the same game as "prince of persia 2".
