See how the rail kinda drops off? It's that way on both sides of the aft so that you can get down to a lower metal walkway that's at water level(for ease of getting those 400lb swordfish in the boat). Anyway, I had a big fish on the hook, and I had to cross under my dad's fishing rod, so I ducked under right where that railing disappears. So picture me ducking, kinda off balance fighting a big Yellowtail, when the fish all of a sudden jerks really hard and I'm on one foot... WHOA! I got pulled over the back of the boat landed on the lower rail and almost went completely in the water. I've got a really nasty bruise on my side because I landed perfectly on my hip where I have no fat or muscle. Very painful!

HECK NO! I reeled that sucker in! I was more scared about losing the $500 reel and $100 rod than the fish! My uncle uses some SERIOUS tackle. But I guess any commercial fisherman would. I didn't think to take any pictures of the boat. So I'll see if I can find some. Oh, BTW... my uncle has the boat set up incredible well. He's got a sat phone, sat internet, sat TV even!! What surprised me... the satelite worked even when the boat was moving at full speed and being bounced around. So when we weren't fishing, we were watching OLN(Outdoor Life Network) watching fishing or hunting shows!

Umm... I don't want to know how much it costs per minute to access the web via satellite from 30 miles out on the ocean. I didn't feel comfortable using it.

That is my guess. I think it's just a dialup connection using the satellite phone. He just uses it to get updated weather maps, water temps, etc.

It was a free upgrade. My other phone had soo many problems. Unfortunately my other phone had a higher resolution camera(because it was an attachment not internal). But the screen and all the other options on this phone are MUCH better.
