Cause there's nothing but ridiculosity in here and no reason to heed it. :) Anyone coming in here to browse will know exactly what to expect due to the title and therefore those who want to boost their post counts (for who knows why) can do it and not bother everyone else in the other forums. GL HF and :spam: it up!

No. I refuse. I think it is a bit idiotic to have such a forum. Waste of space. Say something intelligent or nothing at all. Post count be damned. It is to the point now, I read like 4 threads a day, because everything else is spam. The spam seeps over to every, let me say that again, EVERY thread. So having a forum specifically for it doesn't help it a bit.

Now perhaps no one cares, because I am the resident 30 year old, dad policing the forums, but this isn't fun anymore. To log on after 2 hours and see 45 new thread updates, 7 of which are new Spammage really doesn't promote a desire to interact with intelligent, gaming buddies.

I realize the average age here is 17-18. But come on guys, grow up. I mean if bringing back the philosophy forum would help smarten up this community, I am all for it.

BTW - is there a way to turn off particular forums from even showing up to my particular log on?

Not really. But what you can do is go into the forum you want to ignore BEFORE you click the "search for new posts" button. When you get into the forum you want to ignore, click the "mark this forum as read". Then go back and do a search for new posts. That will "ignore" a specific forum.

I am in agreement. This is my only post here so far, I don't really plan on posting here at all after this. I mean, I guess if you guys want a custom title or something, sure spam away. But I'm sick of it. A little bit of bicker is one thing, but 20 new threads . . .no. Anyway, yeah I deffinately vote for the philosophy forum back! I always want a nice friendly debate! Why is it that I am the youngest (or one of them) and I am the one who agrees with the 30 year old. . . ?

Maturity. It's a good thing.

I'm in agreement with Airstotle and Homeslice about bringing back the Philosophy forum. I brought it up a whlie ago, though, on BLE central, and the general argument was that we would get angry at eachother or some such during debates.

that is the only forum that threatens LAN attendance more than any other...but if you want to risk it we'll bring it back. In the meantime, the forum software is configurable so anyone who doesn't want to see certain forums can pm myself or Dave and we can deny you access to that forum - you won't ever see it nor will the new posts in it be counted among the total new posts since your last visit.

On another note, if this is really an issue with you guys and not liking the spam anywhere but here, I suppose moderating might be in order. I don't want to do it to be sure, but keep it all in one place - this forum. That's why it's here.

i agree.

i dont spam in any forum other than this forum. and at that i dont even spam in anyones thread. i made my own thread in the spam forums and am spamming it. not only am i not spamming in ble central, not nly am i spamming in the correct forum, i am spamming my OWN thread and i see no problem with that.

i DO see a problem with spamming ble central. I dont like to see spam there. I go there to see whats up with ble and chat with my fellow ble members. spam forum is for spam, ble central is used for casual chat. i am using both of them correctly.

I agree with Homeslice... however I have found an occasional thread that wasn't total spam in here and posted to it... but you won't see me posting in here much at all becaues i generally hate :spam:

as do i. the only reason im spamming the spam forum is to get my own custiom title. at least im not like jobe who spammed the entire thing. i made 1 count it, 1 thread which i humbly spam in. i dont spam other peoples stuff.
