I've read reviews, and everything is mixed. I personally would like to try them first. So I'm going to try and get a used/trial pair from them to do a review on. What do you guys think about them?
**EDIT**
Okay.... So I found another pair that sounds like it is even better... but it's a bit more expensive.

Deffinately interested. I was the sound man at my high school for quite a while, and I always have had a very picky ear for sound. So, I am always looking for a better sound experience!

Dude! Don't mess with me like that! I read your reply and thought you were talking about another pair of 5.1 headphones. I had an AWESOME pair of DJ phones, but they broke. I'm looking for a replacement, but I want a pair of 5.1 headphones. But from what I hear they sound pretty tinny, and that would bother me incredibly being the audiophile that I am. So I want to try them out before I buy them.

I don't mind Radiohead, but I've only heard a few songs. I'm pretty much into everything. I don't listen to country though. Used to be into it, but not anymore. Here's a small list:Cam'Ron, Twista, Outkast, NaS, Hoobastank, Disturbed, Smashing Pumpkins, Incubus, Simple Plan, Linkin Park, Dave Mathews Band, then a big mix of trance, house, break beats, etc. There's too much for me to mention. I just like good music. I even listen to some opera. Andrea Bocelli is amazing!

wtf why would want 5.1 headphones for music? and how in the hell can you get a real 5.1 experience from two speakers on a pair of headphones..and since we all know that having directional sound and turning up the volume all the way is just an excuse to hide hacking...;) :p
Not interested...decent headphones with a mic are more important. :) and under $50 as well.

 It isn't just 2 speakers. It's 4 speakers on each side. A sub on each side, and 3 other speakers per side. AND, there is an inline controller that allows you to adjust the volume seperately for front, center and rear. Sounds to me like they've done their research on what gamers want!

Well, I've sent them an email. If I can get them to send me a pair, I'll do a complete editorial review, and I'll set everything up so people can test them at the next lan. I just need to convince them that it's in their best interest to send me a trial pair. IF they are as good as they look, I'll definately dish out the money. I'm trying to find out how much they will cost to have them shipped here from the UK.

dude, something in which you could tell left/right + up/down would be ideal in this day and age, but don't think anyone has done that yet

Actually, there is Ghrog. Some of the new stuff they are working on involves speakers mounted in the ceiling. I don't think they've worked on putting speakers in the floor yet.

Actually... there is a special type of speaker that attaches to any surface, and turns that surface into a giant speaker! (including your head!!! LOL) And you could easily attach it to the floor... it just might be a little loud depending on the size of he floor... >_>
It works on windows, tables, monitors, mutilated bodies, kangaroos, walls, desks, and of course, your head!

pyro there are two problems with that idia:
1) if the subfloor is concreet you don't here anything(they need something that can resonate) if it is a wood subfloor and you are above someone they will hear it as loud as you do or louder.
2) the audio quality on those things suck.

Agreed, but they make for really cool mp3 players!!! Especially at school, we have these huge hollow columns upstairs in the student center, and they make great speaker! ;)

So I was blown off by Speed-Link. The PR Manager said that since they don't have any distributors here in the US, they see no possibilities to send me a sample. Hmm... If you had a HUGE untapped market of gamers, wouldn't you try your hardest to win them over? I guess this lady doesn't understand that you don't need local distributors. Most of us buy our stuff off the internet anyway. She gave me the link to a company that want's something like $150 shipped. So I've found another company that wants considerably less ;)

Let me know what you find, because I'm really interested in this too. I think $150 is a little much, but I am willing to pay good prices for the kind of sound these things are supposed to offer. So keep me updated! :)

Well, If it's around $100 I'm getting them. I've decided that my $300(if approved by my rentors/tuition payers), will go to a 9800Pro for my mom's computer and these headphones. I'll just steal her computer for the Lans.

Cool, that's probably better than spending another $200 or to build a new cheap rig. . .good choice.
Besides, 9800Pros ROCK!!!! :D

I figure I'll just slowly buy parts when I have the extra bucks and they are on sale. So hopefully by summer I'll have nice 'puter built.
