w0000000000000000000000000000000y! What a great LAN! The new location was awesome! Nothing better than smashing your opponents in Soul Calibur II, Halo, or MarioKart on a huge projector screen! Man, that thing rocked. The T1 internet was very handy as well.

Attendence wasn't at a capacity due to our deciding to go through with this LAN at the last minute. The story goes something like, Dave was scared to play me in Soul Calibur II, so he had to buy himself a Gamecube for Christmas and play it obsessively until about two weeks prior to when we wanted to have the party. It was at that point that he figured he was good enough to take me on and give me a good fight, and if luck was with him he may even beat me one round. So when he finally was ready, we set out to set up the LAN. Funny thing is, when the time came to do our appointed match, he claimed he was 'too tired' and forfeited! h4w! ph34r!

So, with two weeks to go, we got the word out, and the crowd came. The best part about not being at capacity was that everyone won a prize! Everyone took something home, from leet cd case holder thingy's to Far Cry mouse pads, and Best Buy coupon books! We also were able to hold a couple tournaments, but due to not being at capacity, our DC and RvS tournies were rescheduled for February. Don't worry though DC and RvS fans, it will be worth the wait...trust me. ;)

So here's the skinny on our tourny Prizes and Grand Door Prizes...as well as the Super Amazing Top Secret Prize!

Grand Door Prizes
MSI KT4 Ultra Motherboard -- Excessive
$30 Best Buy Gift Card -- Krilog

Tourny Prizes
Warcraft III 1v1 -- $10 Eb Gift Card -- Dusk
BF1942 Go Karts! -- $10 Eb Gift Card -- Sickboybob

Super Amazing Top Secret Prize!
The Prize was DiscoDave's personal collection of hundreds of cds including 5 past versions of AOL and several other freebies from various upgrades! And the winner was --- SUPERDUDE! :D

The Games were great with lots of DC, RvS, Warcraft III, Savage, and UT2k3: Rocketeer! The consoles were going most of the time with lots of Soul Calibur II and MarioKart, as well as some Halo. I can't say it enough...That projector screen ruled! The only hitch this time was a little glitch encountered running Rainbow Six 3: RvS at first...turns out it doesn't like being run on a LAN - but we showed it who owns who, and much RvS playing ensued. :)

A big thanks to many people for helping out for this. An extensive list of those people can be found here (http://www.bellinghamlan.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=100).

Here are the two pics that were taken, a big thanks to Excessive for catching these for us. Next time, we'll be sure to get more!

This pic is a tad blurry as Excessive noticed our supermodel mascot coming in behind him and tried to turn around and get this pic of her instead, but the camera was faster. :D The gaming was so good that everyone kept DC-ing during dinner with the lights on!

Great LAN! Great times! See you all next month! Don't forget to sign up (http://www.bellinghamlan.com/lan_events.php?s=) and prepay to hold your spot! Sign ups are up! Go to young jedi!

We'll have it until we lose the privelege or consistently have more people sign up then can come. :) So don't abuse the place! ;) Not that anybody did...we received raved reviews at the cleanliness of the space so that's good! :rup:
